Jacques Brautbar is an award-winning photographer and composer based in Los Angeles.

He first pursued photography while touring with his band, Phantom Planet. Candid portraits, recording sessions, live performances by artists such as Radiohead, the Pixies, and the Flaming Lips—he captured it all. And magazines like Rolling Stone, Nylon, Spin, and High Times published his images.

When Phantom Planet broke up, Jacques turned his focus to composing. He earned a music degree from the USC Thornton School of Music and was selected to attend the Sundance Institute's Composer Lab at Skywalker Ranch. In 2024, his score for the film Bob Trevino Likes It, starring John Leguizamo, won both the Narrative Audience and Narrative Jury Awards at SXSW.
